Lol, in Wajjun Bazaar, it's pretty uncommon, but they drop like rain in march in the Deep, so they are not that uncommon, them dropping is

Jadeite shards used to make Elite Luxon Armour and with players filling their hom yes they are valuable.
You need around 80 jadeite for a complete suit. |

From memory, around 500g. GO see the rare material trader in Kainend Center. then ask for a quote as if you wanted to buy more, you will see the current price. It changes once in a while, but is generally stable at +- 100g (i think).
And to answer some questions: the drop is rare, but the material is not so much (for a "rare material"(as the in-game-term). EDIT: in general : such material is worth keeping (up to one stack) and selling in case ou need money (or use if you should want the armor one day). That's how I see it at least |

Can depend on where you are - like mentioned the deep may drop more as its foes may have a slight higher drop rate but in other places they may be harder.
2 slightly different examples would be - when i was farming crimson coins for nick a while ago i was amazed in nm to get a ruby drop from a crimson skull ranger - something thats never happened in almost 4yrs of play and the other was in wajun bazaar i had a jade shard drop and also never again has it happened. You were lucky to get one in all honesty and even farmers of normal cantha ( not urgoz or deep ) will say amber/jade are quite rare to drop in places. Many ppl farm jade/amber via faction as its the fastest way due to low drop rates of both. |

You just need the top, bottom, gloves and boots of an elite set to add them to the HOM, so you just need 70 unless you want the headpiece.
